![]() To check for updates, Veeam Backup & Replication uses a special XML file on the Veeam Update Notification Server (). Veeam Backup & Replication notifies about new product versions and new product updates. However, it is recommended that you leave update notifications enabled not to miss critical updates. You can disable notifications by clearing the Check for product and hypervisor updates periodically check box on the General Options > Notifications tab, as described in section Specifying Other Notification Settings. The update notifications are enabled by default. You can also see available updates in the Managed Servers > Missing Updates node in the Backup Infrastructure view.
